The Mental Health Services provided through the Unitarian Fellowship for World Peace function under the Lynda A. Cohen Center for the Study of Child Development as an outpatient treatment program for parents and children struggling with the mental health issues of family members. Referrals come from public and private social welfare agencies, court referrals, and self-referral. Frequently addressed issues are: ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, mood disorders, substance abuse, and conduct disorder. All treatment services are conducted by an Ohio licensed Independent Marriage & Family Therapist trained at the University of Southern California who has been in private practice for over 20-years. Services are provided in English, Spanish, Portuguese, & the majority of African Bantu dialects. All psychotherapy is provided at the clinic offices in downtown Dayton at 234 south Dutoit Street (Behind Stivers’ School for the Arts). Hours of operation are determined by client need. Office hours are available during the day, evenings, and Saturdays.
