Overview of this section:
Would you like to learn more about how the human brain learns? Would you like to understand the research behind brain-based learning? This is a good place to get an overview of the science of learning.
Below you will have the opportunity to explore the importance of scaffolding learning and encouraging active, self-directed learning that facilitates student engagement in the educational process.
Proposed Schedule:
Since a major aspect of facilitating self-directed learning is to support an individualized approach to student engagement in mastery of course content, the schedule that appears as the order of each learning session is only a suggestion for the order in which you explore the material. Each training PowerPoint and video is established to be a stand-alone piece of the puzzle for understanding learner-centered education. You are free to view them in the order that they are presented or in a sequence of your preference.
Requirements to receiving credit for viewing this section:
In order to receive full credit for viewing this section you must view each PowerPoint, the video, and complete each question in the quiz section. To communicate directly with the instructor, post your comments and questions in the contact area of this website.
